Company & authorization
Is SpesHealth a hospital?
No. SpesHealth is a licensed medical travel facilitator and patient coordination platform. Medical diagnosis and treatment are provided by authorized healthcare providers and licensed physicians.
Is SpesHealth authorized?
Yes. SpesHealth operates as an authorized international health tourism intermediary and is a TÜRSAB-registered agency (DDSV No. 15111). See our Trust & Compliance page for details.
How can I verify your authorization?
You can review the authorization certificate, trademark registration and TÜRSAB DDSV record from the Trust & Compliance area of the site. Our coordinators can also share the verification links before you submit documents.
Does SpesHealth make medical decisions?
No. SpesHealth coordinates communication, documentation and travel steps. Diagnosis, treatment recommendations and medical decisions remain the responsibility of licensed physicians and healthcare providers.
Can SpesHealth guarantee treatment results?
No. Medical outcomes cannot be guaranteed by SpesHealth, hospitals or physicians. Providers explain expected benefits, limitations and risks based on your medical evaluation.
Treatment planning
Can I get a treatment plan before traveling?
Yes. After you share your medical files, relevant providers review your case and you receive treatment options and a written estimate before you decide to travel.
What medical files should I send?
Share recent reports, test results, imaging, pathology results, medication lists and previous treatment summaries when available. A coordinator will tell you if the provider needs additional documents.
Can I choose my doctor?
Yes. We can present suitable provider options when available. Final suitability depends on your medical records, the provider review and appointment availability.
How long does provider review take?
Timing depends on the specialty, file completeness and provider availability. Your coordinator will share the expected review window and tell you if missing documents may delay the response.
What if the provider needs more information?
Your coordinator will send the request clearly and explain which reports, images or answers are needed. Review usually continues after the missing information is received.
What happens if treatment is not suitable for me?
If a provider does not recommend travel or treatment, we explain the feedback and, when appropriate, help you ask follow-up questions or explore another qualified provider.
Can I request another provider opinion?
When suitable providers are available, we can coordinate an additional review. Each provider may request different documents and may have separate review or appointment requirements.
Pricing
Is the consultation free?
Initial coordination and case intake are free. If a provider requires paid medical review, tests or an appointment, the cost is explained before you approve it.
What does the quote include?
Your written estimate lists included and excluded services. This typically covers consultation, provider fees and coordination; flights and personal expenses are usually excluded.
Can the price change after arrival?
It can change if your physician recommends additional tests, a different procedure or a longer stay after in-person evaluation. Any change should be explained by the provider before it is applied.
How are payments handled?
Payment timing, recipient and method depend on the provider and the confirmed package. Your coordinator explains what is paid to the provider, what is paid separately and when payment is expected.
Are tests and medications included?
Only items listed in your written estimate are included. Additional tests, medication, pathology, imaging or extra nights may be billed separately if your physician recommends them.
Travel
Do you arrange airport transfer and hotels?
Yes. When requested, we coordinate airport transfer and accommodation options. Your quote states which travel services are included and which are billed separately.
Can I bring a companion?
Yes. We support companion travel and can help with accommodation suitable for a companion.
Do you help with visa requirements?
We can share appointment letters or provider confirmations when available, but visa decisions are made by official authorities. Patients remain responsible for checking and meeting entry requirements.
Should I book flights before medical approval?
We recommend waiting until provider review, estimated treatment dates and travel requirements are clear. Booking too early can create extra costs if the plan changes.
What if my travel dates change?
Tell your coordinator as soon as possible. We will check provider availability, hotel and transfer options again and explain any cost or schedule impact before confirming changes.
During treatment
Will I have an interpreter?
Interpreter support can be arranged for many appointments and hospital steps. Availability and language coverage are confirmed during planning.
Who supports me while I am in Türkiye?
A patient coordinator helps with scheduled logistics, communication steps and practical questions. Clinical instructions still come from the treating physician or healthcare provider.
Can appointment times change during my stay?
Yes. Hospital schedules can change because of clinical priorities, test results or operating room availability. Your coordinator will update you and help adjust related logistics.
Aftercare
What happens after I return home?
You receive discharge documents and medication instructions, and we provide remote follow-up and an escalation contact if symptoms occur.
How do follow-up questions work after treatment?
Send your questions, photos or reports to your coordinator through the agreed channel. We route them to the relevant provider when clinical input is needed.
Privacy
How is my health data protected?
We process health data only with your explicit consent, store uploaded files securely, and follow KVKK and GDPR principles. Files are shared only with relevant providers for review.
Can I withdraw consent for file sharing?
Yes. Tell your coordinator if you want to pause or withdraw consent for future sharing. This may limit provider review or coordination, but we will explain the practical impact.
Can I request correction or deletion of my data?
You can contact us to request access, correction or deletion where legally available. Some records may need to be retained for legal, accounting or service documentation reasons.
